World Junior Hockey Championships

Metro Bus and Rail is this region’s public transportation system,
with special service for hockey fans in downtown Buffalo.
If you need to move between hotels, restaurants and HSBC Arena,
Metro is the way to go.
Metro Rail
Running through the heart of downtown Buffalo, Metro Rail is ideal for downtown visitors. Metro Rail is free above ground and only $1.75 underground. Local fans should take advantage of over 1,000 free Park & Ride spaces at LaSalle or University Stations at the north end of the line. Metro Rail will have added capacity and frequency on game days to accommodate fans.
Metro Rail will operate for 30 minutes after tournament games to ensure everyone gets to where they need to go.
Metro Day Pass
Best Travel Deal- A Day Pass for $4 provides unlimited use of Metro Rail or bus and the tournament entertainment shuttles on the day of purchase. A Day Pass can be purchased when boarding a bus (exact change is required) or from ticket machines in the rail stations.
Metro is offering special entertainment shuttle bus service from the HSBC Arena between and after games . . .
World Junior Hockey Championships - Elmwood Ave. Blue Line
Elmwood Ave. Blue Line
The Blue Line will operate between games from Seymour Knox Dr. traveling on the I-190 and Rt. 198 to Elmwood Ave. and proceed inbound back to the HSBC Arena, stopping along Elmwood Ave. This route will serve the Museum District, as well as the many restaurants and unique shops in the Elmwood Village. This route is best utilized if you are planning a trip of two hours or more.
Buses will operate at 20-minute intervals. Service will terminate two hours after the end of the last game of the day. Buses will be identified by Elmwood Ave. Blue Line window signs. Buses will stop at special Metro Entertainment Shuttle signs posted along the route. Regular Elmwood Ave. Route 20 Metro bus service operates until midnight Monday-Saturday and 10 p.m. on Sunday.
World Junior Hockey Championships - Franklin St. Green Line
Franklin St. Green Line
The Green Line will operate between games from Seymour Knox Dr. and travel along Franklin St. to Edward St. and return by way of Franklin St. to the HSBC Arena. The route provides access to restaurants, hotels and attractions in the Chippewa Entertainment District, in addition to the Buffalo Convention Center.
The Green Line will best serve people looking to make a trip of two hours or less. Buses will operate at 15-minute intervals. Service will terminate two hours after the end of the last game of the day. Buses will be identified by Franklin St. Green Line window signs. Buses will stop at special Metro Entertainment Shuttle signs posted along the route.

Regular Service
Regular Metro bus service will operate as usual in and around downtown Buffalo. Route 20-Elmwood runs between downtown Buffalo and the Elmwood Village and Museum District. Route 40-Buffalo/Niagara Falls, can take fans to and from Niagara Falls and its many attractions.
Fares
Metro Rail (when traveling underground) requires valid proof-of-fare payment: a rail ticket, Monthly Pass or Day Pass. Day Passes are available from Metro’s ticket vending machines in the rail stations. Standard fare is $1.75. Reduced fares* may apply.
Metro Bus boarding fare is $1.75. A Monthly Pass or Day Pass is also valid. Day Passes are available from your bus operator. Day Passes provide unlimited access to both buses and trains for the duration of the day of purchase. Exact change is required. Reduced fares* may apply.
