Monday Traffic Forecast

Dear Media Friends - If you Say it - Cite it - As reported on motioncenter.info

COLLEGES OPENING NEXT WEEK
Many of the Colleges are reopening their doors this and next week. It would be advisable to drive with more caution as students from out of town complete moving into their dorms, and in general do not know where they are going once they leave campus.  With registration, getting books, financial aid headaches, a new landlord and related problems for students they may not be completely focused on driving, so a defensive driving status may be best near the colleges over the next two weeks.

River Road Construction, North Tonawanda, NY
River Road the connecting route between Buffalo and Niagara Falls, and a great, low-cost alternative to the Grand Island Bridge traffic problem, if anyone ever used it, will have some construction today as per a flashing board sign startiung today. Reduced speeds and congestion may occur near Wheatfield Street. (Near the Tonawanda News and OTB / Kwick Fill). Keep in mind that this visiblity is not prime to begin with especially during rush hours so take it slow as you go.

Near Accidents Reported at Niagara Falls Blvb. @ Ridge Lea, Amherst,  NY
Multiple reports were suggesting that individuals are driving on Niagara Falls Blvb, past the Westbound (Closed) ramps driving up to Ridge Lea Drive (Tim Horton's and Christmas Store) and making a U-Turn. This has been freaking some drivers out, whom are not expecting traffic to be doing this and near accidents are occuring. This may be an iontersection to avoid Northbound from Ridge Lea is possible. One of ttake he places this was brought up was on the Steam section of The Metro Community News.

STENZIL STREET RESURFACING, North Tonawanda
Parking is restricted on Stenzil Street in North Tonawanda Today as City employees resurface the street in the Gratwick, one of the oldest sections of the City. Specifically the section between Riverview Drive (The Railroad Tracks) and Oliver Street will be focused on today. With the work being completed, it may be advisable to watch one's speed at the intersection of Oliver and Stenzil Street and stop at that stop sign.
Not all local residents may know of the road being restricted and may approach the intersection slowly. It would be a good place for City police to be picking off drivers who California roll through that sign.

Possible detour: Use Payne Avenue. Or from River Road, take Ward north to Warner and Payne and take Payne across the City.
