BWI Officers Uncover 13 Knives Concealed in a Passenger's Carry-on
July 11, 2011Every day, TSA officers around the country stop knives, as well as guns and other weapons from being taken aboard airplanes. However, it's not every day that a passenger tries to walk through a checkpoint with over a dozen knives in their carry-on — but that's exactly what TSA officers at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) uncovered recently.A TSA officer running an X-ray machine detected something suspicious in a carry-on bag and a fellow officer responded with a bag search that uncovered 13 different knives concealed in the carry-on. The passenger was arrested by local police, and there was no impact to flight operations
