Register Today for the DISA Customer & Industry Forum 2011

DoD’s Joint IT Event of the Year
Fort George G. Meade, Md. — “Power to Connect: Enterprise Within Reach” is the theme for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Customer & Industry Forum 2011, which will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Md., from Aug. 15 to 18. About 3,000 people are expected at this year’s event.
The theme reflects the agency’s commitment to providing an enterprise information environment that enables command and control and information sharing via a reliable and protected infrastructure in support of the full range of Department of Defense (DoD) operations globally.
The DISA Customer & Industry Forum 2011 combines the agency’s annual Customer Partnership Conference with DISA’s Forecast to Industry. This DoD joint IT conference brings together our mission partners, industry, world-class speakers, and thought leaders to share information and ideas that are critical to achieve DoD mission success.
The event provides an opportunity to hear directly from DISA senior leaders about the near and far-term direction of the agency to develop technological capabilities and initiatives and to respond to operational requirements.
The conference consists of plenary sessions and training workshops, or track sessions, focused on information sharing efforts and best practices.
The plenary sessions include presentations by senior DoD officials and top industry leaders. Confirmed speakers at this year’s conference currently include the Honorable William J. Lynn, Deputy Secretary of Defense; Teri Takai, the Defense Department CIO; Air Force General Duncan McNabb, Commander of U.S. Transportation Command; Army Lieutenant General Carroll F. Pollett, DISA Director; John Chambers, CEO of Cisco Systems Inc.; and Paul Maritz, CEO of VMware.
During the training workshops, participants will learn how DISA is leveraging technologies and refining our acquisition strategies. Participants can gain a better understanding of the full spectrum of DISA's programs, services, and solutions, and learn more about our efforts to achieve an integrated and seamless platform of communications, computing, information assurance, and enterprise services to support the Department of Defense’s warfighters.
In addition, at the event, the AFCEA Technology Showcase will feature more than 200 industry exhibitors alongside 60 DISA exhibits, providing participants even more opportunities to see the latest in technologies, products, and services and to network with colleagues.
